Ashwini Iyer

Ashwini currently works as an Product Manager at AllyO (acquired by HireVue), a growth stage AI for Recruiting SaaS company located in Palo Alto, CA, where she leads the NLP,  Capture & Apply and Internal Tools initiatives. Within those initiatives, she led the product vision, strategy, and launch of the Facebook Messenger channel enabling support for 20+ countries. She managed the launch of perpetual keyword routing, reducing churn, resulting in more than 307K new users, and enabling a 1.3 Million increase in ACV.  She led product execution and launch of an internal tool to create surveys in international languages, enabling 600K in increased ACV. Most recently, she led the product execution and launch of Multiple Applications per Candidate support which is a huge platform enhancement that doubled the number of candidate applications supported by AllyO.

In her spare time, she works as the Director of Sponsorships and Outreach at Generation She, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering high school girls with entrepreneurial passions. 

Prior to this she  worked at Cubble, a startup to allow reader's to rend and lend books from home libraries. She was responsible for analyzing market trends and conducting user research to inform go-to-market strategy decisions relating to business plan, monetization, and investment. She designed the entire product in Figma, conducted UXR, incorporated, and worked with three other engineers to develop an MVP.  She also developed a data-driven marketing approach which resulted in 90% more signups.

In the summers of 2016 and 2017,  she worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Apple Inc. in the Core OS Embedded Power Management team. In the Summer of 2017, she developed an internal tool to model and predict CPU energy usage on iOS devices utilizing unsupervised and supervised machine learning methods. The previous summer, she developed a command line tool and simulator in Objective C to model power management and suggest improvements to optimize performance. 

She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, with concentrations in Machine Learning and Information Internetworks, from Georgia Institute of Technology. While at Georgia Tech, she earned Dean's List recognition multiple times and graduated with Honors. She developed many projects in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Security, and explored her interest in System level software. She also won first place at the Georgia Tech Student Alumni Hackathon and served as President of the Women at the College of Computing club. 

She discovered her love for software development as a high schooler,  and her passion for creating positive change through technology and community service.  Academically, she excelled in Advanced Computer Science courses including AP Computer Science, Neural Networks, and Computer Architecture.  In her free time she worked as a Student Ambassador for Rising International, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting impoverished women in third world countries.
